Canon 10D Opinions

I'm currently using a Canon D30, and thinking it's about time for an upgrade (and it's falling to bits too).
I'm seriously limited on the cash front, so a 2nd hand 10D is about all i can stretch to. The question is, would it be worth the money? Is the 10D a sufficient jump in spec to justify shelling out on it when i could just keep battling on with the D30.
Obviously it's got more megapixels, but what about other stuff. I mainly shoot motorsport/general sprt stuff so speed of focusing is important as this is what annoys me most about the 30.

Auto focus is streets ahead of the D30. Much less noise, making higher ISO usable. To be honest, apart from a few more pixels, I can't tell the difference between the shots from my 10D and the 1DmkII.
