I've just got hold of this Seiko, which uses the 7T62 quartz chronograph movement.

Now, I knew when I bought it that it had a dead battery, but replacing that hasn't resulted in a return to life, so does anyone have a recommendation for someone who could give it a once over for me? Preferably somewhere around the Leicester area.

Or if I'm just missing a trick with a reset procedure- I've got the manual but couldn't see anything obvious in there.

It's in really great condition, so I'd quite like to have it working if I can.

I’m not sure if it applies to small watch batteries and you may already know but the bigger button batteries come with a sticker you have to remove before fitting.

It’s not always obvious.

A complete new movement is less than £30 easy diy job with a few basic tools.

I have used a place called Timefix in Melton to refinish a watch of mine and they were good.
