Just booked some flights to Dubai in March, staying for a week.
Never been before so thought we would give it a go.

Wanting to see some sights but also chill out with a beach, was thinking a couple of days around the marina and maybe a few days on the palm.

Any recommendations for areas would be appreciated especially IHG hotels as I have a couple of hundred thousand points I can use.

Thanks

I lived in the UAE for 6 years and during that time had many visitors of varying ages.

On thing that people particularly enjoyed was the old souk and crossing the creek.

The weather in March will be great. Enjoy.

I visit Dubai a lot for work, and have done several holidays there too. I'm IHG too, but whilst always using their hotels for work they are less good for leisure IMO, especially if you want to have a beach. The Intercon in the marina is meant to be nice but I personally haven't stayed there. The Intercon Festival City is also nice but whilst handy for the airport and perhaps the creek and souks it's a bit away from other attractions.

So I have booked 3 nights at hotel Indego near the large shopping mall and the Burj Khalifa and then 4 nights in hotel Voco on the palm.

Just looking at an organised trip into the desert on quad bikes with a bbq and sunset, any thoughts?

It looks like going out for a pint is about the same price as New York.

Monster experience is the one most often recommended on the car groups here.

I’d give the marina a swerve at the moment, feels like Moscow on sea.
