Hi all, new to the forum. Just noticed this nick on my tyre. Will this fail MOT?

Edit: can't link photos as I'm new, any way I can share pics?

Was about an inch long 1/4 inch wide but deep enough to see the carcass when peeled back. It’s

If you can see the cords then it’s a fail.

If you see cords it'll be a definite fail. If it's a large cut but no cords it should be a fail but borderline. If its a small nick then it'll be down to the testers discretion

If you can see cords, including folding back the rubber in a cut to expose cords, it’s a fail. If you can feel but not see cords in a cut bigger than 25mm, or 10% of the width, it’s a fail.
