I need help with an electrical issue.
I have had my 2015 Vanquish just under three years and it’s my daily drive so I’ve done about 20,000 miles in the past three years with no issues.
In September 23 whilst driving all the warning lights came on and the car came out of gear.
I turned it off and tried starting it, the dash lit up but it would not start.
After 10 minutes it started and I got it home and called the AA.
There were loads of error codes which they deleted, it started and drove fine for a day before the same issue occurred again.
I called the AA only this time the codes would not delete, eventually it started and I got it recovered to an auto electrician.
It was there for two months but during the two months the fault didn’t come up.
He checked all the connections etc and spoke to Aston Martin.
I collected the car in December and it’s been driving fine since then until last night when whilst driving it came out of gear, all the warning lights came and it would not start.
It is an intermittent electrical fault but sods law when it’s in the auto electricians it won’t come up.
Error code is “lost communication with TCM” amongst others, the dash lights up but it won’t start, interesting thing is the fan comes on even though it’s not hot.
If anyone can help diagnose this, I would appreciate it.

Have you checked the earth straps as sometimes these become intermittently faulty and such a simple issue can cause all these problems.

Hi, just had the exact same combination of problems occur on day 1 of a driving tour in the Lake District... very frustrating. Did you ever manage to get to the source of the problem?

Is it a Volante? If so, try disconnecting he Convertible Roof Module (CRM). They're known to go bad on Gaydon cars, and when they do, they flood the car network with nonsense messages that confuse many other systems. Disconnecting it takes it out of the loop so everything else, except the roof, should work normally.

The CRM is located behind the right hand rear wheel arch liner. Google "aston martin crm failure" to compare your symptoms with other reports.
