I have just bought a 96 m3 evo and can i say i dont know why i waited so long before i bought one. This is the cheapest car i have bought in a very long time after having 911, audi tts and all sorts of other fast cars. I live in spain and over the years i have got fed up with the amount of damage that gets done to cars here. So i went for the m3 evo, did not cost to much so any devaluation now wont matter to much if it gets scratched not a big problem. the power is awsome for a family car.

i have a little problem with the oil level light flashing when i start the car. i have check the oil level and it is not using any and none on my garage florr when the car was left for two weeks.

Is the sensor and i am aussuming that this is the fault, easy for me to change. were is il located and can you get one easily.

thanks
Anthony

It´s a very common fault in E36 EVO. It´s the sensor itself and it´s threaded down in the oil pan, so you have to take all the oil out to change the sensor. Its cost is around 120 € for the part itself and i´m pretty sure your local dealer will have it as i´ve had two of them in the last 5 years and both times they had it in stock in a main dealer in Seville.
