Collecting Cars buyers premium

I am currently interested in some of the cars on the Collecting Cars website. However I am not sure on how the buyers premium works. It says 6% plus VAT. My question is the VAT to be paid on the complete price of the car or just on the 6% buyers premium? There is quite a different gross price between the two!
