Chaps,

Am driving to Annecy in the summer and thinking of a one night stay somewhere around Dijon,

Any recommendations for somewhere interesting to stay?

If a chateau appeals then here’s a couple we’ve stayed at.

Thanks - that’s exactly what I had mind although they seem restrictive towards children - should’ve mentioned we are taking a 7 year old…

This place is about an hour south of Dijon but might be interesting for a 7 year old - it has a farm.

Have you thought about staying in Dijon itself? It's a great place with loads of restaurants. Troyes is also nice but might not to close enough.

Lovely place, we treated ourselves to a suite for a night for our wedding anniversary. Apart from the farm (I think there’s also a Spa now) it is a bit remote though. Good selection of Armagnacs though smile

Get a copy of the 2024 MIchelin Guide. We used this for years and stayed in some fantastic hotels and had some amazing meals, pretty much all decided by where we were near on the day.

Prices from very silly to totally affordable.
