Afternoon….

Thinking about getting a BBR’d MX5, only unknown I have is who’s best to insure one of these?

A friend had an NC 2.0 with some choice mods, he had a bit of a hassle insuring it due to the non factory set up incl extra power and suspension etc.

Any recommendations welcome thumbup

Just be aware BBR are dreadful to deal with once they have your money and the job is done.
There are lots of stories online about them including a recent thread here.

I wouldn't really recommend BBR after my turbo'd NC grenaded itself on a B road blast. The kits look great at first glance, but there hasn't been any real engineering work done on long term reliability or durability. Looks like there are quite a few stories from other members experiencing similar poor quality from BBR

But when I did have my BBR NC, I was insured via Adrian Flux. Around £800 for a 23 year old living in the midlands. Heard good things about Brentacre and Greenlight too
