I was watching a 1960s "Look at Life" information film and couldn't identify this red sports car. Any ideas?

You’ve made that up surely! Sounds like a character from Just William.

“Whose bicycle did you take Brown?” “Er, it was Fairthorpe Electron Minor’s sir”

I was more curious as to whereabouts that was filmed.......as that is a Bus 105 in the background, a bus route I used to use quite a bit in my youth........so almost certainly that clip was filmed on the A40 in West London somewhere between White City and Greenford roundabout. I have a feeling it's on the westbound approach to the old Greenford roundabout.

biggrin Fairthorpe originally introduced the Electron with a Coventry-Climax engine which proved a bit expensive for the intended enthusiast clientele, so they re-jigged the underpinnings and fitted a Standard 8 engine and called it the Electron Minor.
