Savings interest into pension to save tax?

I am expecting to receive a fairly healthy interest payment later this year from a fixed rate savings account. Can I pay this into my pension to avoid the tax? (I am a higher rate tax payer)

As long as you have employment income to “use”. Where the actual cash comes from doesn’t matter as long as you have that.
