Hi,

We are picking up a new Cayenne eHybrid on Friday.

Apparently these do not come with PVTS enabled, and our insurers are making a tracker a requirement of the insurance.

Does anyone have any recommendations or know what options are available?

Thanks in advance

Jack

I just went with the standard Porsche tracker, which was £279 for a year's coverage last July (for a Macan). It's through Vodafone Automotive, and you get a couple of small plastic fob things. I've not had any real trouble with it, though the batteries (CR2032) only seem to last a year. To change them I had to take a screw out of the fob and then unclip the top and bottom pieces, which was a pain. The car had displayed a load of warnings about the tracker, which was my cue to change the batteries.

To get the tracker working in the first place I had to sign up on the Vodafone site (the salesman sent me a link via email). This gave me an alphanumeric code that I had to forward over to the salesman so he could get the dealer workshop to code the fobs to the car.

Thanks, but the new Cayennes don’t have that as standard (like our GT4 does).

It looks like we need to have Vodafone come out and do a full tracker installation.
