Investing for non UK residents

I currently have some cash sitting in a savings account in the UK that I'd like to put in to assume form of investment fund like the Vanguard life strategy. As far as I'm aware as a non resident legally I can't pay in to an ISA, but these sort of funds should be fine, however I can't find find one that accepts non residents. Anyone got any recommendations?
