£10-12k 2 car garage

With a house move looking likely, my wife and I are looking to be car debt free. This somewhat curtails our budget. I know some of you are brilliant at this, so here's the brief!

Car 1

- Must fit car seats (x2 isofix)
- ULEZ compliant
- Auto Prefered but not a dealbreaker
- Cheap enough to run
- Reliable
- Will do around 10k miles pa
- SUV style preferable

Car 2

- Must fit car seats as above
- ULEZ compliant (preferable but not essential)
- Manual
- Petrol
- Engaging to drive and able to be tracked now and again
- Not totally ruinous to own
- Interesting in some way

Budget can be split whatever way, but absolute max is £12k. My current thoughts were a Qashqui of some description and then an E90 330i with the view to upgrading with some Birds parts.

Kadjar could be an option.

The ST is interesting. Had a 3dr pre face-lift back in the day. Another thought along those lines was a Mk5 Golf GTI.
