100 Percent

Ok, I've been around for (about) 41 years, said many a word thats not in the English dictionary...however is it me or does everyone now seem to be using "100%" as a response to something ALL the time?

E.g. I think your a pillock....Oh yes 100%

Surely when people say 110%, it's worse? I will give you everything....then 10% more...because maths doesn't count in this conversation.

Language is an ever evolving thing and I suppose it's our turn to mock the young for their use of it (as every generation does with those that follow it), but even accounting for that they still seem to speak such drivel.

Maybe every generation thinks the same and we/they are no different.

Indeed. Footballers who give 100% must be accused of slacking by team mates, who always seem to give 110 or 200%.
