What's happened to PH?

I haven't been on PH much recently, for reasons too boring to go into. However, I go on it this evening and it's full of padlocks and sin-bins.

What the hell did I miss? I feel like a school kid who's been off sick for a while, but when he goes back to school he discovers that there's been a new headmaster who's asserted his authority by giving everyone a damn good caning!

I can't be arsed to read all the threads, so I'll have to assume that all of those sin-binned are guilty of the equivalent of the cyberspace death penalty.

PS: Mister moderator, please don't sin-bin me or padlock this thread for simply asking the question. That would be the response of a Stalinist regime, rather than a friendly landlord. ;)

There was a thread called Dental Problem.
Someone started a thread called Mental problem.
Then gentle problem, lentil problem, menthol problem...

30 threads later, (and one moderator who was nearly reduced to tears, and felt the world was caving in on him, he was working alone poor chap) and there were more of us partying in the sin bin then left here in the P&P. It was a slaughter of sorts.

Most of us are back out of the SB though

The SB was actually more fun than PH, complete with "problem" threads and all (Ive got a word.doc of the posts, if you're interested) but you dont want to go there. There are still a few stragglers trapped there, and its a very lonely place

Let's face it though, we were out of order, MAM was stressed out, he did what he thought best at the time. It was a good giggle at the time, but in retrospect...

I sympathize with MAM. Poor chap had work to do, a deadline to meet, rightly and loyally felt obligated to respond as would most people. You cant blame him for lacking the ability to remain calm, some people get stressed out easily and over react. Off PH, people are ripping him to shreds as being the most intollerant admin of all time, but what would you have done. Last I heard, he had to go lie down after it was all over.

Yep, that could easily be my detention room conversation at school, many moons ago. All the naught boys talking about why they're in there.

What made me smile is the fact that the Sin-Bin seems to have adverts in it! Talk about a limited audience for a product placement - Ted has no shame! It's a bit like putting advertising posters on an inmates prison cell!
