We were due to leave at 7 this morning in the Noble for the Britcar. Have I wimped out by leaving it at home and taking the other car? Haven't driven it in the wet yet (always had powerful cars though) and didn't fancy 2 hours with the possibility of standing water, misty windows, and poor visibilty ( haven't got rain-x or bosch wipers yet). It means of course I won't be in the parade and if the sun comes out I'm gonna be truly gutted, but the forecast is not good...Time will tell!

I drove back to Lodon in a torrential downpour - no misting up (use the a/c) - all lights on including fog - huge fountain of water left behind for any followers - just meant I had to clean it again!!!

Very well behaed in the wet!

I never even realised the rain was such a problem. Mine was sat out in it all day yesterday (just after I'd cleaned it, naturally). Started no problem, no misting. The Bosch wipers are a distinct improvement, though, and should be the first thing any owner buys IMO.

It wasn't that I didn't trust the Noble, far from it, I just didn't fancy a 2 hour drive in it at 7 in the morning in hazardous conditions when I had the option of my other car or my mates M3.

I went in my mates S3 as my car is broken, and I can say that I was not that dissapointed not to be in mine! Especially after the parade lap.

Could someone please post the model number of the Bosch wipers!

...as you may have read in the other post I "lost" a wiper 1m outside of silverstone and had to sail home through the standing water with no real wipers at all...through the most torrential rain I've seen this side of the tropics...ho hum!

thanks Justin...as usual!

...you were pointed out to me on Saturday, but I was sat in my car ready to roll while you seemed to be pumping up someone's rear just before the parade, so I failed to say hello....maybe next time!

Those Bosch units don't seem to make the grade according to the review...I seem to remember you replace them every year, could you enlighten me as to whethe they come with the clip that sits in the fold of the bend at the end of each wiper arm...its just that this particular piece of plastic has cracked (hence my blade loss) so I need to know if that is an extra part to order.

oh....and I think I'll finally get some rain-X or whatever, while I'm ordering!...the blades "sticking" was the reason for the incident happening in the first place.

Ah - I was fixing someone's tyre (no idea who it was) as I've "been there, got the t-shirt" quite a few times!

They do indeed come with the plastic clip thing, as do all wiper blades nowdays.

I've always thought the Bosch ones were excellent, which means the ones that got 4 and 5 stars must be exceptional!

One thing to remember though is that test was done on a "normal" windscreen, the Noble is seriously curved and so maybe the Bosch is better at that?

Kent, the Bosch wipers make an enormous difference and work perfectly on the curved windscreen. I recall someone saying you needed a 19" and an 18", but I actually needed two 18s. Don't know if that's adifference between the 2.5 and 3 litre models. Make sure you push them hard onto the clip, and don't slit your finger open like I did.

The windex stuff can be found here -

- along some other useful bits and pieces.

On the M400 I fitted Bosch 19" and 20" wipers which replaced the same length originals. If in doubt measure the originals. Got them from speeding.co.uk:-

Bosch Wiper Blade 20"
No. Shipped: 1

Unit Price: £7.00 Total Cost £7.00

Bosch Wiper Blade 19"
No. Shipped: 1

Unit Price: £6.50 Total Cost £6.50

Hope that helps.
