Senior / Together railcard

My wife and I have a Senior Together Railcard, means we need to travel as a couple.
I’m having to make a rail journey this week and am wondering if I need to buy another railcard to allow me to get reduced travel because I’m travelling myself?
Anyone been in a similar situation?

If it's a "together" one then, yes, you'll need an individual one for solo journeys.

Mrs.Chips and I both have our own Senior rail card. We usually buy the three year card at a cost of £70. It effectively pays for itself within a year with the money we save on fares. We can’t wait until next year when we qualify for free bus travel! We have the individual cards, purely because it means we can travel individually as well as together, whereas with the Senior together cards we would always have to travel together. We feel that the flexibility is worth the extra cost. HTH.

You will have to buy one yes but weigh up the cost of the card against the saving especially if you're likely not going to use it again. My wife and i bought a Two Together card to get the train to Heathrow for our honeymoon, the saving alone paid for the card and a bit more, we used it a few times after but without that one journey it wouldn't have been worth it
