Letting people who read this forum know about, because I have a hunch they might be interested in aviation and therefore consider attending. Sorry if it wasn't obvious.

Thanks Simpo – that show wasn't on my radar. My daughter has thoughtlessly arranged her wedding on the same weekend as the Sywell show, but now I can go to this one instead. thumbup

It's a thanks from me too. We've an event to go to near Towcester on Sunday so might manage Saturday at Old Warden, haven't visited for a few years.

Fair enough, but I just have a dislike for posts that consist of a link and nothing else. Especially as it’s ’just another air show’ really.

(I have a lot of time for the Shuttleworth collection, so was hoping for an interesting post!)

Well I could have said 'Hey come to the Shuttleworth show!' but it wouldn't have added anything. The info is the title. But if it had been 'Hey look at this' then I'd agree.

I saw an episode of Warbird Workshop last night on More 4 featuring Shuttleworth and the Mk V Spitfire. I really liked the attitude of the staff and engineers, not famous but obviously highly competent, just getting on quietly with stuff like high tech 'men in sheds'. No corporate nonsense.

I remember your battle against the sun; must have been nearly 20 years ago. Has the tan worn off yet? hehe

I spotted this when looking into what airshows were on this year, but so far can find very little about what's going to be displaying.

...so it all feels very "sign up and see", which I've little time for. By all means run an airshow. But tell us what's going to be there first.

PS - am going to Sywell, probably both days...looks like a cracking event this year, albeit I'm not sure how easy the photography is going to be.

If you're on FB you can see the second post down at https://www.facebook.com/Shuttleworthtrust - the Arrows, and some good photos.

I guess they don't know the others yet.

On it’s day with good weather Old Warden is one of the finest airshow venues in the world & the Shuttleworth collection is second to none.

In a usual season I’ll visit 2-3 times a year but will possibly be more with the D-Day sqn visiting in May

Just announced - an RAF Typhoon (Eurofighter not Hawker) will be displaying.
