It’s an itch I’ve had for a good while and whilst I’ve tried on a few examples of the first watch on the moon, my mind keeps returning to the Cosmonaute. I know it’s a Breitling, not as collectable, etc, but. I’ve seen few 809 ones late 60s / early 70s. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated!

The modern limited edition would be worth investigating.

I think they're fun watches.

Blimey that's busy! But also cool, and different. Like it.

Eta - I'm in the market for "the poor man's Navitimer" which is a very interesting thing in its own right...

I’ve a A12023 on leather deployment. Was my divorce watch, so had it ~10 years now.

Made in ‘95, and it’s one of my smaller watches at 41mm.

Very comfy, light. Something a bit different. Couple on C24 for under £3k.

Had mine since about 2008 - purchased new when I was working overseas.

Dial is actually a mid sheen anthracite grey - really lovely in the sun. Not a special edition. My “serious” watch for interviews, etc - probably wear a Milgauss as an alternative (I’m an Analyst / Statistician) for that sort of occasion . . . if I had one!
