I have got a few mates that have bikes but they often work at the weekends. Does anyone live in and around Kent (Maidstone) that gets out at the weekend for a ride? I want to get out more but it can be boring on your own.

i think i have seen you ride though Hartley. I've not been to Brands yet as most of my time is being spent looking for a new house and trainning the new dog. But would like to go (hopefully) before the wet weather sets in, otherwise i will be looking at next year.
I've met up with a few bikers at the Oak Dean Cafe, ever been there?
There is a CBR forum where meets are arranged online. nice bunch of bikers.

What is the link? I have ridden that way a few time, i tend to go down through Headcorn and then over to Tunbridge Wells back through Paddock Wood, some really nice roads. IS the Oak Dean Cafe the one at the bottom of Wrotham Hill?

Its on the left just before the slip road to the M26 (off the a20). On the other side of the road is a parking area.

Have you ridden to Rye?
A274 then on to the A262 -> A268 are the main A roads, but there are loads of smaller widing roads you can get lost on, make sure you have GPS with you.

Well i can on a track. But not much activty on the road. Too many numpties that either get in the way (at round-a-bouts) or don't see you. Not worth the risk TBH.

I would, cut it in half and hey presto, knee sliders. Cheaper than the other ones which leave marks on the road
