Our 09 plate petrol Golf with DSG (DQ200) is slipping in even numbered gears. The error message is "clutch tolerance limit reached". How serious is this?

I would guess £3000 serious or less if you can get away with the clutch pack.

The clutch packs on those are not known for their durability, unfortunately.

Probably around £1200 if just the clutch pack plus oil change, SW update etc.

What mileage is it on out of interest? My mums (1.4TSI) is on 70k and had an oil change at 60k which made a bit of a difference.

Thanks. Could write off the car at £3000!

It's my daughter's car. Probably highish mileage (not owned it long) and she does about 10k
