Fagging off in the car
Discussion
Is it still considered socially acceptable to fag off in the car these days?
I know that nowadays people are concerned with resale values and a lot of people don't want a car that's been fagged off in. It's considered dirty.
Up until about ten years ago, it seemed more common to spot a either a lone male, couples, or even groups of guys happily doing it in the car together.
People are also more health conscious these days and are less keen to spread anything harmful, especially amongst the confines of a vehicle.
There's also the cost of living crisis. I think this has reduced numbers of people participating in this past-time too.
Thoughts?

Quoted just in case.....I know that nowadays people are concerned with resale values and a lot of people don't want a car that's been fagged off in. It's considered dirty.

Isnt fagging off something that used to happen at public school way back when??
'fagging off'??

Definitely sounds like something you might partake in with another gentleman.
As for smoking in the car... entirely personal preference I suppose. I rarely see anyone smoking in their car/van/lorry these days, but when I do it tends to be:
Scaffolders.
Builders.
Stoner/weed smoker looking types.
Council/chav types, usually in some battered Vauxhall Vectra/Insignia
A friend of mine works for a car dealership, and they absolutely hate it if someone trades in a car that has been smoked in. They usually knock money off the trade in price because of the cleaning that it will require.
The smell is very difficult to remove, even after the valeters have cleaned every surface and used a fogger machine on the interior. They have had cars returned to them for a refund because the smell came back and the buyer smelled cigarettes after a couple of weeks.

Never heard of the phrase "fagging off". I suspect this is a clumsy attempt at humorous innuendo?
I wouldn't want to own, or travel in, a car that smells of stale cigarettes. Back in the 90s most of my friends smoked, and I would always return from evenings out with my clothes reeking of it, but times and expectations have moved on.
