Booking Fees on Online Ticket Purchases

Two tickets bought:

Stalls Standing Full Price Ticket £ 39.50
Stalls Standing, Stalls Standing
Booking Fee £ 4.94
Venue Levy£ 2.50

Stalls Standing, Full Price Ticket £ 39.50

Processing fee
£ 1.50

Delivery and transaction costs
£ 2.50


Booking fee is £4.94, but that's on each ticket.

What's a venue levy?

Processing fee - can't that come out of the Booking Fee??

Delivery fee (they get emailed to me) and transaction costs, wait, what?

I guess if that was all rolled into one price I might not be moaning, but now that they have broken it down, it all seems a bit excessive. Yeah it's only a fiver; it's only 1.50 blah blah blah, but that's on every ticket sold so there are some hefty number someone is juggling for seemingly nothing.

Yep it's a load of bks and goes completely unregulated. I bought decent tickets to see Pink for my other half and all the various fees through Ticketmaster were around £58. Got them directly from the spurs stadium tickets and the booking fees were 'only' £28.00.

Even Just Eat/Deliveroo/Uber Eats have service fees, delivery fee, transaction fee etc.

Same with Airbnb. When Airbnb started off it was pretty cool. Small places, hosts with rooms etc. Now there's a cleaning fee because owners are too posh/lazy to clean themselves, a service fee etc etc. I've stopped using Airbnb.

And don't get me started on the app asking you to tip the rider before they've even picked up the bloody food
