Didn't need a remake, there's nothing wrong with the original...
...and from the look of it they didn't bother with a remake and just did whatever they wanted as it's really not linked to much if any of the original comic in look or content.
It might do OK but like other returns to already good films it's likely to sink hard.
PS. Shocking to see someone thought the Leto Joker was a good look to reuse.

The new face paint is more subtle
