No, TVR will not put the 4.0 Red Rose engine in the car. There is a tamora about with a 4.0 engine, but this was when it was being rebuilt as I recall.

I might be wrong of course...

Contact TVR Power. They're owned by the factory and from what i understand they now build all the 4.0 Speed Six engines. From my brief conversation with them there is no reason why a 4.0 Red Rose could be done for a Tamora.

I hae the 3.6 Red Rose and find it much more drivable than my previous Tuscan 4.0.

If you already have a 3.6 in your car, TVR Power will not upgrade it to a RR spec. They will upgrade if you have it upgraded to a 4 litre beforehand, but, the costs involved are as follows;

3.6-4 litre upgrade=£5562.78, inclusive of vat ()
4 litre RR upgrade=£3831.73, inclusive of vat.
If you want a de-cat too, that's £250 + vat

Without the de-cat, that equates to £9,395,51p (), my initial sum of £7K was a bit low!
However, when I spoke to Dom at TVR Power about this, he said that perhaps, if the 2 were done together, a lower price 'could' be quoted, but I think that you would REALLY REALLY want the extra power to stump up such amounts of ££££s.
Obviously, if you have a new car on order, that sum would, I would assume, be significantly lower.

If you look on the Tamora register, MrsS has a new 4 litre Tam?

It has a tweaked 4.0 its not S Spec or RR. Probably about 385 bhp, but very similar torque figures to an S. Very pleasant it is too when she lets me drive it
