M99/M36T2 Alarm/Immobaliser problem

Hi,

I have recently replaced the M36T immobaliser with an M36T2 box. Now I am unable to disarm the immobaliser using the keyfob button when the key is in the ignition as I used to be able to! I am, however, able to disarm the immobaliser when I insert the electronic key into it's receptacle.

Can anyone tell me if the new M36T2 immobaliser box and older M99 alarm box are compatible? It's as if the two cannot communicate anymore!

Has anyone else managed to get this pair to work? Perhaps there is some kind of initialsiation procedure?
