What Medium/Large SUV, £50ish, But I Don’t Want…

After a long period of happy motoring with our Daily, a ‘19 Discovery V6D, it has suddenly turned on us and, despite the weary dealer’s best efforts, has developed a taste for expensive batteries.
So it’s probably time to offload it.
We have grown to love an SUV as a daily, with my Alfa for high days and holidays, so want another. But what? The following is personal opinion of course.
However, we don’t want a BMW (ugly), Mercedes (same), Audi (has a certain reputation here in Germany), anything Japanese (generally not enough power), anything Korean (we previously had a Hyundai Tucson and enjoyed it, but they’re a bit “low rent”), anything hybrid. Not a Stelvio as we already have the wonderful Giulia and don’t want two Alfas. Not a Jaguar, much of the tech is similar to the Battery Monster.
That doesn’t leave much. Tempted by a Volkswagen Touareg, and (as a curve ball) a Maserati Levante.

Something a bit left field, reliability should be good, likely poor fit and finish.

Thanks to all for responding, some nice ideas.
Touareg: went to our local dealer who only had one in a sea of Tiguans. Nice, but much more a large saloon than a proper 4WD. Maybe I need to drive one.
Jeep: not a bad idea, will study further. My stepdaughter’s dad has just bought a Jeep and likes it a lot.
Volvo: Again don’t like the looks so much.
Škoda: I’m guessing on the same platform as one of the VWs, worth a look and there seem to be plenty around.
Lexus: Doesn’t excite me at all.
BMW: Sorry, don’t like the look of the modern ones at all.
Maserati: Went to a local dealer, Frau GenX fell in love immediately (a good sign). Have first option on a car that is coming in shortly after a very fastidious lease, black with beige leather, V6. Interested.
Meanwhile our Discovery is still sulking in the dealer…

With the Levante do check if it is the V6 or V6S version as there is quite a large power differential and this being PH you really need to go for the full fat version (not least because it is a heavy vehicle)Touareg: went to our local dealer who only had one in a sea of Tiguans.
