Leicestershire Sportscar Evening 12/9/05

Hi, is anyone going to the above? I've not been to one before and wondered what to expect etc.

The meeting's at the Carrington Arms Ashby Folville in Leicestershire starts at around 6pm.

Although it's at the same venue, this is not the same event as the huge 2nd Tuesday event which will be on 13/9 (last month there seemed to be 1500-2000 people there!).

Never gone before but might go tomorrow if the weather is OK.Are you defiantly going?

Hi Dale, yes I fully intend to go so it would be good to see you there. I aim to arrive 18.00-18.30 (children permitting!) I'm curious to know what it's like especially with such a big event tomorrow. At the time of writing it's nice and sunny near Leicester so that may help the turnout, cheers, Dave

went to the normal event a few months ago ,a field full of cars of all make and models and 100's of motorbikes and a steam engine ,a good evening out in all and the roads are great

Well, I hope nobody else went! We were the only ones there and the landlord said he didn't think anthing had been planned. It was on the TVRCC site though...

Oh well, it was a nice pint anyway.

It'll be tomorrow won't it? Usually second Tuesday, and several hundred cars!

Yes, the usuual 2nd Tuesday event is on tomorrow (I did check with the landlord!). I was advised to get there about 6 ish. Last time my son counted nearly 20 TVRs and 41 Lotus 7 / Westfield type cars. Dave

I must have missed you , got there about 7.45.
I took a mate along , felt really stupid when we trundled into the car park to be met by .nothing
Nice drive though , I would go again just for the drive.
