One photo, 3 versions...

Trying to think of some ideas for this months competition, I've ended up with these 3 shots of a Pine cone, I don't think they are "odd" enough to enter, but which one do you prefer (if any!)? 1st is original ie: just cropped & resized, whereas 2 & 3 have been played about with a bit, and with different crops.

I like the effect on 3 best, but think the angle could be improved to make it more of a standalone photo.
