So there I was heading home from the shops, in the newly polished tivvy, following a lady in an old style Micra. As she approached the traffic "calming" chicane which was signed in her favour, a single decker bus charged through, forcing her to stop. I stop. We're both on the wrong side of the road (to ge thro' the chicane). She decides the bus has won, reversing lights on, I look for reverse, she hurtles backwards, without looking, I hit the horn as I still haven't got reverse, she stops 50mm from the front of my car. Eventually we both reverse out of the way and the bus driver smiles cheekily as he goes on his merry way.
Think I'll buy an old Land Rover and sell the Tivvy.
I'm seriously thinking this is the way forward for me. No Road Tax/Classic Insurance/No one will key the front wing out of jealousy/I can park it anywhere without worrying/ won't worry about Gatsos/I can be the reason for the traffic problems on the Western Bypass instead of being stuck in them. (Bu66er, bet I've raised the value of old Land Rovers now.)

I think you should sell the TVR just for calling it a Tivvy!

Very tempted to get an old Landy for racegirl when (if) she passes her driving test, not that shes a bad driver (she's took the Chimaera around Donington ) but they seem a sensibly choice for hooning around town in, and I can have a laugh in it,

<---in case you keep the Tiv, and add a Landrover to your car park
(I wouldn't bother an additionally Tiv)

Numptie reversing aside..the Micra driver has right of way...yes?

Had I been the Micra driver I might have been tempted to park up and wait. The way you describe it the bus driver was, at the very least, impolite and at worst reckless.

Having said that would I argue in my P&J...no.
