Being 17 at the time of the last 'young motoring journalist of the year' comp, I tried my hand, pouring in perfect petroleum-soaked prose. They refused to read my article and the thing was won by a Honda Insight-loving eco-numpty. Seeing as though this year's entry is on traffic congestion, expect a similar Blue Peter-viewing mini-Blair to win again. I'd love to be a motoring Journalist, but a proper petrolhead, not a quibbly numpty or a headcase writing for Shedline, Max Premiums, Wrecks or Thrashed Car. Long Live 'Classic Cars'
