Has anyone got any interior pics of a 968 (pref not club sport which only has two seats)? Have checked briefly on the web without a lot of success.

The reason? Have just bought a Boxster 2.7 for the wife! (whos login I am on at the moment), and enjoy driving it so much must have something very nearly the same (but more practical) for every day use.

Has anyone driven the Boxster / 968 back to back? Are 944 S2's any comparison to drive next to 968?

Comments are greatly appreciated.

Well i've not driven a 968 but they are by all accounts even better than the 944 which in itself is a great car (he says with lots of bias!) In terms of performance the figures are actually quite similar for an 944S2/968CS, but a 944 Turbo SE is quite a bit quicker. I think the interior is exactly the same as the 944.
The best thing of course is the price they are selling for now - my S2 cost £6500, though a decent 968 is likely to cost over £10k and more for a club sport.
I prefer the 944 styling anyway

I'll second Andy's comments: 968 are slightly better than 944 S2 but they're not worth the price difference yet.
And 968 are not quicker than 944S2 above 120 mph...

Although I've never driven a 968 , I've owned a 944S2 for over 2 years now and I can never see myself selling it , it's a truely great car for the money. I recently had a drive in a 2.7 Boxter and although it is a very nice car it wasn't that much faster than mine ( if at all ), OK it had all the toys , leather , air con etc etc but it cost £35k and mine cost £8k. There is no way it was that much better. I also once raced a Boxter S over the Cat and Fiddle road and although I was never going to pass him I could keep up with him no problem.
Check out the 944S2 before you buy , you wont be dissapointed, but get a specialist to check it out first as they do have some pit falls , I'd recommend Hartech in Bolton.
