Curious to know what you guys think.
Recently I got a fast puncture ( luckily I was at home ) and whilst I was waiting for Green flag to arrive I thought it would be a good idea to pump plenty of air into the tyre so that the car wasn't sat on a tyre with very low PSI ( also makes the recovery guys job easier getting it onto and off the truck )

Question is. Is it bad to leave one tyre which could potentially become fully deflated on the ground ? I know the other option is to jack the car up, and place it on an axle stand whilst waiting for the recovery people to arrive. Therefore having no weight load on the bad tyre/wheel
Surely it is potentially bad for the rim and the tyre itself ?

Unfortunately my car did not come with a space saver - so chucking one of them on in the mean time wasn't an option.

Thanks

Not an issue in the time it would take recovery to arrive.

The sidewall of the tyre will not be great once it has gone flat but if it is deflating quickly then chances are you are replacing the tyre anyway. Won't make any difference to the car.
