Possibly caught out yesterday on an unfamiliar road. Travelling East to West before reaching the average speed cameras at Corby Hill, there is a 40mph limit (possibly/hopefully advisory). There was a silver transit van with pole and bidirectional camera labeled something like Clearview Intelligence.

Does anyone know if these vans are speed cameras or traffic monitoring cameras?

In addition if anyone lives nearby do you know if the 40mph about half a mile east of Corby Hill is an advisory 40mph, it seems to cover a few bends with property on either side.

Thanks.

Thanks, I assume there hasn't been a recent change to the signage/limits?

I did notice that Google maps picks the speed limit up as 40mph, I would assume that Google uses the advisory limit and not the legal limit.

Doesn't sound like a speed camera so I think your wallet and license are safe.

Looks like not an issue?
"Insight Vision provides CCTV and computer vision capabilities for object detection, classification and events.

The use of artificial intelligence to analyse video and images has been on the increase over the past few years as new algorithms and access to cheaper and more powerful computing becomes mainstream."

After recent post here did like the "Wrong Way Slip Warning To Drivers

An innovative solution that warns drivers if they drive the wrong way up a slip road, approaching on-coming traffic and creating a potentially dangerous situation"
