My wife is also getting into watches, yay!

She loves the look of white and gold/rose gold. What options are there in the £300-£800 range that would look sort of like this? (no 'homages') Doesn't have to be a diver either.

As above the Tissot seastar, although it is quite yacht master-esque, nearly homage.

Another vote for Tissot.

Whilst I have no experience of the watches above, they are a historic maker and the couple of watches of theirs I have seen impressed me.

This Alpina looks suitable if she doesn't mind quartz

Sorry should have read your post. This is way over budget.

Thanks.

The Certina and Tissot are both nice, same with the Hamilton. At this price range should I worry about the auto movement accuracy or go quartz?

Ideally I wanted to get her something with an auto movement, it's a shame the Hamilton isn't. It's my preferred brand of the three, but expensive for a quartz no?

I personally wouldn't worry too much about it being quartz at this price point. I've got a quartz Omega Seamaster and CWC diver that both cost more. They get worn just as much as my expensive autos and the convenience is great. You can get that Hamilton on a white rubber strap too but at that price the bracelet makes more sense.

Careful buying an automatic for a lady, in my experience they don’t always appreciate the mechanism and would rather have something that tells the right time, even after it has been unworn for a while.

I bought my wife a Tag Aquaracer from Ebay. A little while ago now and I paid £800 for it, in better condition than this one.

But my wife isn't picky about second hand watches. I know some people are.

Yeah, I was thinking the same.

Are fashion brands allowed? Often see pretty good deals on Gucci watches, whether from jewellery stores or some online discount store type places. Seen quite a few white diver types in the past which look really funky in a good way and sometimes there's automatic versions too. Been tempted a few times, but always talk myself out of it as I can't see myself wearing on a regular enough basis.

yes Bought two very similar watches for my mother and MiL, my mother never wears it as she would need to set it, my MiL loves it.
You don't have to worry about auto accuracy at that price point though, they're generally very good these days.
