They are reliable enough, engine especially. Auto gearbox is a traditional torque converter and doesn't seem to show any issues either. Suspension is all aluminium and the rubber wears faster due to the heavy weight, granted a problem with most luxury cars but I'd be conscious of parts availability and cost both now and in the future.
Onto that particular car as I have looked at it myself, the front bumper has been repainted or something as the lacquer is having problems, I'd be worried about a front end smash. It was last serviced in 2019 30k miles ago - I'd avoid any car that hasn't been serviced in 30k miles and almost 5 years!
It is a 9-10 year old high end luxury car, the high tax band is probably the least of your worries.

That’s a shame it’s a nice car too. It maybe why it’s so cheap. These seem vanishingly, if predictably, rare. I've become somewhat obsessed with them, surely they will end up around 10k and be a cracking barge to keep. I'd always wanted, still do, a Lexus LS600 but these are the same money as a 2008 or so Lexus with most of the comfort and 90% less complexity!!

I’ve seen that. It looks a very unique car. But I can’t get an answer from Hyundai about service costs and parts etc. If you look at the MOT History it’s not the best and hasn’t been serviced in over 5 years.
