After my antics at the AWESOME London Tunnel Run yesterday I feel my ticking is getting worse under load. Worse when cold but still very audible when hot hot hot....
Where can I get hold of a good replacement for my 400 Chim?
As i'm currently parked on the road, is it something that is recommended to do inacase (for whatever reason) I dont get it finished in one sitting...? Or should I hunt out a temp garage? I know the garage would be the easier option - with less chance of getting my @ss bowled over by passing cars.

Not the sort of job to contemplate in the road! You need about 360deg spherical access to each bolt (inside, outside, upside and downside - even upside down side!!!). But don't take it anywhere who haven't done it before. Seek out the nearest indie and leave it to them.

It just seems a bit of a shame to waste the money on labour etc just coz i dont have a damn garage or drive.
I will see if I can scam a neighbours garage or shed thingo for a weekend otherwise will see when Mr Batty is next free for a consult.

Email them with what you need (easier than finding it on the site), and also you need new spring washers and bolts. Total cost will be about £40.
Oh, the rear bolts are near-impossible to get to!

HOWEVER, the muppet that i am
there was a loose bolt on the front drivers side mainfold that when tightened... you'll never guess.... the noise almost stopped. 
Well done kempy... Will have it in for a service some time soon so will see whats what and get myself a 'to do' list.
