Can you buy these at a dealer and how much are they?

Mine sticks up badly and it's upsetting me as I'd quite like to use it.

The whole thing comes out quite easily so I reckon it could be replaced with one that has a proper fitting lid without too much trouble.

Try TVR Gear, I have found this on their 'Special Offer' page;

www.tvrgear.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=28711

You can buy almost everything you want from that place, it's great!!

you can order one direct from the dealers/factory, you will need you chassis number and it may be wise to ask them to cover it too as it comes as a piece of fibre glass - about £45

make sre you keep everything from the old one as it works on either a magnet or a plastic clip

So how do you know that it's going to fit properly?

The one in the car at the moment has curves in 2 dimensions which is where the problem is.

The hinge is just bonded onto the top so I would presumably need to break the bond and glue the new top on and then cover it with the bison stuff having carefully peeled this off my old one?

I may as well just take the one in the car to bits and try to remould it to the correct shape by glassing in tensioning strips along the inside.

You'll probably find that the glove box is fine & true...it'll be the rest of the car that's wonky!

I hope this helps.

My glovebox lid would not close properly, and the guys at TMS replaced the glovebox part but kept the original lid and everything is perfect now. In fact even better as the box is now springloaded so closes sharply and doesnt bounce open when going along those lovely British county roads.
