HI Everyone,

My garage has a sectional garage door, and as I'm clearing things out and getting it tidied up, I've noticed that I get water coming in under the garage doors (sectional door with a big flexible rubber seal on the bottom) - it's not all thte time, just when there's heavy rain and wind in the right direction.

It can't be mucfh of a gap as the seal keeps leaves etc. out, but I need to stop the water getting in, and I've found a few different options online for threshold seals that look like they'll do the trick, and I was wondering if anyone has experience of these, or another suggestions (though I'm sure I need a sealed down threshold to work) - they seem to be different profiles but all PVC rubber, I was wondering if any are particularly awkward to wheel things over etc.:

I had the exact same problem.
I fitted a rubber seal with a similar profile to those you've listed and not had any issues since.
The seal that used came from everyone's favourite auction site, it's stuck down with a tiger seal type of sealant.

I have one similar to the stormstop profile.

The issue is that a little moisture gets in around the side of the profile where it butts against the wall on either side of the door.

This may be due to my installation or it may creep in via the brick mortar ? an only happens with heavy driving rain.

Otherwise brilliant.

I have the weather defender XL behind my sliding doors. It works very well, with continuous adhesive bead stopping any ingress under the bar itself.

Stormstop shape here, from Amazon, stuck down with black tiger seal type sealant as above. Made sure I used a bit of sealant at the ends and 100% success on sectional and traditional wooden doors.

Easily fixed by adding adhesive to the ends when you glue it down.

I little late to the party, but I would also suggest Weather Defender - their seal is extremely sturdy, made from some marine grade PVC. They offer a lifetime warranty and rated excellent on Trustpilot. No water ingress into the garage after installing Weather Defender - problem solved!
