I own a Rolex Sub which is about 14 years old and needs a service. Searching on here and elsewhere https://www.genesiswatchmaking.co.uk/ seems to get many recommendations, but I don't want to post my watch (unless there is a sensible way of insuring > £2.5k?)

I'm in London every few weeks, so has anyone experienced a decent service in either London or East Anglia (where I live) ?

- Russel Talerman comes up a few times, but some online reviews don't sound great (pinch of salt taken etc).
- Steven Hale
- any others?

I just want the mechanism serviced by someone who knows what they're doing, don't want polishing, new hands or anything unnecessary.
thanks

Do you not want to get it done with Rolex themselves?

It's an option, but hoping there might be some independent recommendations.

I used Watchguy.co.uk for my Datejust I did post it in which is a huge risk but he said hed never had one go missing.

Was over the moon, cost me about £260 and I got lots of photos back of it in bits.

Thanks Bazza

I have a battered 1970's Breitling 1450 Chrono that needs a new crown, next time I'm in town I'll drop by.
