is it ok to drive around with just the roof panel out but the rear window in?
one of the catches on my rear window is a little worn and is not as secure as the other, ill get a new one,but just wondered if the window is pretty secure anyway.

You can drive around with the rear screen in for just local trips, but I wouldnt advise it at high speeds. I know of at least two that have come adrift. If you have a dodgy clip then I wouldnt risk it.

I've done up to a ton with just the roof panel off but the buffeting is worse than without the window. The screws work loose in the clips too so could just need nipping up.

I agree with Basil, the buffeting is awful above about 70mph. I have also done it up to about 100 without the window popping but as Di says others have had problems.

What is nice on a hot day is to leave the roof on and take out the rear window. We drove around France quite a bit like that when it was v hot and the resultant air flow is lovely.
