Any suggestions, I know this is close to MCs stomping ground?

Not looking for anything too fancy, just for me for dinner while I'm working in the area.

There are plenty of restaurants in Oxted but the pubs are a bit out of town in old oxted. Apart from a spoons right in the centre.

I wouldn’t really recommend any of the pubs for food.

The Gurkha Kitchen near the station is good, as is the Thai the other side of the station underpass.

Cucina down the high street is nice and the new ish Japanese place near Boots is good.

Locals seem to like Cattle and Cocktail but I’ve not had great experiences there.

There it’s also Pizza Express which is better than Tripadvisor reviews suggest and a premiumish burger place all on the same road as Cucina.

If you don’t know the area at all it’s worth mentioning that east Croydon station is about a 15 minute ride and is right by box park which has loads of value options.

Not close enough, I'm afraid. I'm sure I've been to a 'something-on-the-hill' which was OK, but it was years ago.

Ta both. Holed up in Felbridge at the moment enjoying the dubious offering of your typical 4* business hotel bar frown
