Sill guards for Elise S2 Sports Tourer

Does anybody know if you can get 3rd party sill guards or covers to stop your feet scratching them to bits when you get in and out of the car as Lotus dont do them?

nope - just be careful with your feet...or have them trimmed in leather for £40 every 2 years etc......

put back to black on every week so it gets a good silcon finish and less prone to scratching

wouldn't that get black all over your clothes every time you got in, or am i not thinking of the right bit?!

Mines scratched to buggery. Just thought I'd get some new ones somehow, sometime.

simonize back to black is just a silicon spray ( colourless ) just spray onto the black areas as rub in with a soft cloth, it doesn/t tend to rub off as such. This will only mask light scratches though, but may protect from further scratches and scuffs

(carbon fibre 'effect' - I guess if you were that worried about weight you would just take them off)

Or priced up replacement covers OEM?

We recently had an ex-factory owned S2 that had the 'carbon fibre effect' padded sill covers with a green Lotus logo - but I aint seen them in the accessory catalogues. May be worth checking with your dealer parts dept.

They enhance driver comfort when you cock your knee against them - S1 drivers will appreciate what I mean.
