hi all. it never stops! some lvoely lady hit me on a mini roundabout on friday. Marker Study insurance's recommended repairer is my local ford garage! AAAAAAAAGH! Surely they'll wreck my stunning iris blue paintwork. Should i trust them or can anyone recommend a good bodywork specialist near eastbourne?
many thanks as always

Tim as I discovered recently you are entitled to choose your own bodyshop, you do not have to use the Insurance Companies chosen outfit.

It may mean that the insurance company refuses to give you a loan car (but I am sure your chosen garage would provide you something in return for your business).

Check Porsche's website for its list of Approved Bodyshops.

Exactly like he said. The insurers will imply that you have to use their designated repairer. Choose your own and negotiate a hire car.

You get the lifetime warranty with the Porsche approved bodyshop. I have had a respray done by one,,,not bad,,,,but I have had better and wouldn't neccesarily go to the Porsche approved one again if I had a choice...not slating them, but just like servicing there are some better independents out there than an OPC.

DON'T let Ford any where near it, if they are anything like my local dealer, they are crap. They scratched my mondeo and then took three attempts to paint it correctly - including painting the rear seats

I had a Transit broadside me a couple of years ago, damaging a rear panel, wheel arech, bumper etc on my 996 C2. The other insurance company tried to insist on getting it fixed at a local non-Porsche bodyshop, think they were called Bodgit & Scarper, anyway I was having non of it & my insurance company refused & in the end they agreed on a Porsche approved repair.
No way in the world I would let anyone but Porsche approved anywhere near my car.
