Research: Speed Not responsible for 2/3 accidents!

Ok bit of a fabricated topic, but whatever happened about fixing the other "66.6%" of accident cause?

We all know that speed is infact the cause/contribution to 7% of accidents, but why aren't they doing something about the OTHER reasons?

What's the big thing about speed? you could just as easily say that 30% of accidents are caused by people who wear seatbelts. Or people who are adults. Durrr!!

"Stupidity kills" - a much better slogan. Atleast HMG are doing the "Think!" adverts without getting too wrapped up in the evil speeder campaign.

Shout it from the roof tops, Speed is NOT responsible for the majority of accidents. We have proof, even the goverment & Police will agree that speed is not the biggest danger.

"Roads are for cars, pavements are for people". How true, but can you imagine anyone with a car sticker like this? or "Keep your child off the road" ??? yeah, think I'll get me one of them made. Anyone else want some?

You can buy that electrostatic film that clings to glass for use in inkjet printers. Make your own one-off stickers.

Its actually pedestrians that cause the majority of accidents.

Thats why Motorways are the safest roads.

If pedestrians didn't have access to roads there would be a lot less deaths on the roads. At the very least they should proscute pedestrians that cause accidents or the responsible adults in the case of children.
