is it possible to use the TT Railcard when you buy tickets separately, or do both tickets have to be bought together?

For example - I'm travelling down to London on a work trip and buy my ticket through the corporate travel system. Can my wife buy a ticket on Trainline for the same journey using the TT railcard discount, or do we both need to buy tickets at the same time on the same system?

Thanks - I'm guessing this is the answer?

One Railcard holder will, but there is no need for both of you to be present at time of purchase. However, please remember you both must buy both tickets at the same time and make the journey together.

It doesn't explicitly state that the tickets must be bought on the same system / via the same provider biggrin

Actually the simple answer might be "try it and see how I get on". As a worst case cenario we'll end up paying full price which isnt the end of the world.

Cheers

My son and I use this when we travel on away football trips.

We often get our tickets separately (he gets work discount) and we have never had a problem.
As long as it is your pictures on the railcard, they have never questioned it.

I think, as the card says - you need to be traveling together.

I can only speak from experience though, although that does cover about 20x trips in the last few years.

Cheers - that sounds very similar to our situation!
