I'm nearing the point of needing headers for my GTR. I'm installing an LS6 Gen3 SBC. I've had no success with the U.S. engine installer (Lawrence Farmer) I had a set on order with him for 8 months, now the phone's disconnected. I also contacted the Australian guys (Peter at GT40) He won't return emails. I can fabricate them, It just would be easier if someone has a jig or fixture to produce them and I'd rather apply my hours to the rest of the car. I am in the U.S. Anyone know of a source?

I just tried a Google search on the keywords Corvette LS6 Headers and it came back with quite a few sites ... Google's your best bet!

Corvette headers won't even come close to fitting an Ultima GTR

I realise that the standard headers won't fit, but at least one of them must be able to supply custom headers or at least provide you with a contact who does.

I can fabricate custom ones in my own fab shop. These engines have been installed in Ultimas before. Just looking for a source who's already made them for the Ultima to save me the time. None of the big Header companies in the U.S. has heard of an Ultima before. Anyone know who Lawrence Farmer was getting headers from? Or the Ultima Distributor in Australia?

jschwartz,
I may be going the ls6 route also. Please post any info you find. If you end up fabing your own headers with cats, let me know I'll eventually be needing a set for my canam.

Are you going to fab your own motor mounts and trans adapter plate?

I ordered the special LS chassis. It uses std cast alum corvette mounts. Adapting the LS to std chassis is easy, just a matter of making a couple plates to adapt the tapped holes in the block to the chassis mount location. I'm not using cats, if i get any grief due to emissions, I'll get a show car exemption.
