Disk Skimming

can anybody reccomend a company that can do disk skimming? apparently my car has some 'hot spots' which will otherwise neccesitate a change of disks.

this seems excessive on a 3900 mile from new car!! especially with the disks an expensive £350!!

I think UKHSV had his done whilst still on the car, might be worth an E-mail.

There is a company down here in Portsmouth that do them. However, if the disc's are warped, then once you heat them back up again, they will be warped.

Just had a set of warped discs skimmed. After 10 miles the judder was as bad as before. Thought it a one off, but may be not.

i had them done on my old Cerbera and they sorted that completely.

My disks arent warped but have hot spots, i.e. very, very slight vibration under only heavy braking.

Car has only done 3900 miles so hoping Vauxhall will replace them under warranty as the car has never been used on a track.....

Anybody know what a pair of front disks cost? the dealer estimated £350 which seems steep...
