simple as it says to be honest what car has most drool inducing noise, when driving in car view, or when watching on replay.

I quite like the high revving sound of the Cadillac Cien. The GT40 is proabably the best though.

The Shelby Cobra 427 isn't bad. The AC one sounds rubbish in comparison.

The Callaway C12 makes a gorgeous noise with a full sports exhaust

Some of the old american V8's are trully droole-worthy.

One surprise is if you get a Mercedes SLK 230 Kompressor and fit it with a sports exhaust (the cheapest one) it sounds surprisingly muscular!

Personally, I love the sound of the old GT40 race car.

The old Beetle sounds good when tuned to a whopping 85bhp!!! (no seriously, it sounds ok)

My '05 Mustang sounds pretty good too.

But my fav's are the Chaparal's. Totaly nuts sounding

Can but agree here, race spec Chapperal, sounds stunning, and with only 3 gears is so quick on circuits like laguna is unreal, great fun, and the full bore modification if you are feeling fruity giving best power to weight i have got to so far. hmm grunty... :-)

Time to get all fussy here.

Anyone else feel let down with GT4 audio.

GT Concept, the RS6 sounded wrong, but the SL55 AMG sounded awesome!

GT4, the RS6 now sounds truly authentic, but the SL55 AMG now *seems* to use a random crappy v8 sample, but even in GT4 Prologue, the SL55 still sounded right!

Also, now, the SL600 AMG uses the old RS6 sample from GT Concept, which was a V8, but the SL600 is a V12. Doh!

Then we have the RS4, which has always sounded good, and fortunately sounds the same in GT4 as it did in Concept. Thumbs up there!

I honestly think only a handful of cars sound good. The TVR's thankfully sound like TVR's, the Audi RS4, the DC5 Integra Type R, the NEW RS6 and the Zonda sound spot on.
Most of the other cars sound like whistly farts for the most part

I am very disappointed by the sound in GT4. They claimed to have spent a lot of time, money and effort on it but it doesn't sound that great to me and that is through a decent Hi-fi.
i have done better recordings in car myself on a shirt button budget.
It is such a key element of cars and driving games.

And why are the Euro cars so slow? Pug 106S16 (Gti) 0-60, 10s on sporty tyres?

Some (most?) of the sounds in GT4 are crap, and sound nothing like the real car. The one thing that annoys me more than anything else, is how sticking a full race exhaust on anything with a big V8 suddenly makes it go all Ferrari like and high pitched, instead of getting a nice deep V8 growl.
